If festival season has been taking too long to come around the corner, Vujaday Music Festival is just the paradise escape you are craving. Returning after their inaugural and well received 2018 festival debut, they announced two phases of the lineup that have us quickly canceling our previous plans and purchasing flights to Barbados from April 3rd through the 7th. Vujaday Festival takes over the entire island of Barbados, offering adventurous, musical, and cultural experiences in a setting of sunshine and Caribbean water.
The artist lineup (so far) is nothing short of a carefully curated selection of house music heavyweights and rising stars; featuring Mr. Lee Burridge, Bedouin, Damian Lazarus, DJ Tennis, Sasha, and a club set from Bob Moses–not too shabby for being trapped in a tropical wonderland. The Desert Hearts crew sends their best with Mikey Lion & Lee Reynolds making appearances so it’ll be exciting to see their bounce-inducing brand of techy disco house. The only issues facing Vujadayers who like to get down is planning your beautiful journey from stage to stage and soaking up all that this stunning island has to offer.
Looking at the festival’s list of attractions aside from their musical offerings is almost overwhelming. As if lounging on flawless white beaches beneath perfect blue skies with Cloud Captain Burridge is not a dream come true, Vujadajers will have the opportunity to satisfy their adventurous spirit with several exciting water-based excursions. Everything from parasailing, to scuba diving, to water sports, this is looking more like a full on vacation than your usual festival drink and dance protocol. Who would be happy saying no to a Mount Gay Rum Tour, featuring one of the world’s oldest rum distilleries? Submarine tours and deep sea fishing…yeah, go ahead and get your tickets now.
Their website claims “experience how music is meant to feel” and the organizers behind the festival come from years of experience running some of the biggest nightlife brands in the world, so this festival will actually be FIRE. See you there…yes we’re going.
