With halloween celebrations happening all over the world, lovers of the harder styles gathered at Oberhausen’s Turbinenhalle for Germany’s hardest halloween event. The sold out event boasted an impressive lineup of over 50 artists across 6 different stages ranging from hardstyle to hardcore. With so many artists to choose from and a range of complimentary ticket perks, Pumpkin Germany was easily the best Halloween celebration I have attended so far. Here’s why:
THE LOCATION
Turbinenhalle is Oberhausen’s popular local concert hall. Located just 30 minutes away from Dusseldorf, the warehouse style venue regularly hosts multiple hardstyle events with a unique old school vibe. Having attended my second event at this venue this year, Turbinenhalle remains as one of my favourite festival venues in the world.
THE PRICE
General admission tickets started at only 36 euros making it one of the most affordable festivals I’ve attended. For 50 euros more, you can upgrade to VIP which comes with a range of perks including a buffet and unlimited drinks among regular VIP perks such as an exclusive entry and viewing decks.
THE VIBE
Fans of the harder styles are generally some of the most dedicated fans in the world and it definitely shows at this festival. With the event completely selling out, the iconic venue was filled with thousands of hard dance lovers from all over the country celebrating as one. Everyone was extremely welcoming of each other.
THE MUSIC
The lineup was easily one of the best hard dance lineups I’ve seen all festival season! With everyone’s favourites under one roof, every single stage was filled! My favourite sets were definitely Da Tweekaz, who played a special Halloween themed set while dressed as killer clowns, and Sound Rush who created this year’s Pumpkin anthem!
Overall, I could not have asked for a better Halloween celebration. Good music and all you can eat German food? What more could you want in a festival? The unique location filled with all of my favourite artists at a fraction of the cost makes Pumpkin one of the best Halloween celebrations out there! The 2019 theme for Pumpkin has been revealed as Broken Therapy and will take place on Thursday the 31st of October. Follow Pumpkin here to keep up with their future events.
