Carl Cox

Carl Cox is a legendary house and techno producer, whose career has spanned more than 30 years, justifying his title as one of the best DJs of all time. His name is a staple in the music industry worldwide. From 20-year residencies in Ibiza to hosting “Carl Cox & Friends” curated stages at festivals for over a decade, Cox’s resume is extensive to say the least. As a result, you can always expect a top-notch performance from Carl Cox. His many years of experience reflect in his ability to get a room dancing and moving. For many Chicagoans, this is the first opportunity to experience a hometown Carl Cox set. In a time when music can easily become redundant, Radius is bringing a whole new perspective to the music scene in Chicago, with the potential to shift the city’s musical focus back towards the sounds of OG house and techno.

Radius Chicago

Radius Chicago is a brand new venue located on the southern side of Chicago, just near Pilsen. The colossal 55,000 square foot venue is an old steel factory that was completely remodeled. It’s stocked with a D&B KSL sound system, impressive lighting capabilities, and tons of artist and patron amenities. And still, the visible steel beams and tall ceiling bring a strong industrial atmosphere to the venue. Although the open floor plan is expansive, the shape of the venue guarantees a great view from every corner.

Interestingly, Radius also features a secondary event space, Cermak Hall, located inside the venue. Both venues are available to rent, but a future where that space is used for event pre-parties, after-parties, or maybe even room for a second stage doesn’t seem too far off. Radius seems like the perfect indoor festival space. Will this venue be able to revive some great fallen festivals from Chicago’s past? Radius is answering the call from music lovers in Chicago to bring life back to our music scene, and they’re definitely starting out on the right foot.
