Back for round two of an iconic adventure on the seas! Gary Richards aka Destructo, is setting the bar even higher for the second annual FriendShip sailing. Setting sail January 6th-10th out of Miami, I can’t imagine a better way to kick off 2020 than by being on the Navigator of the Seas with All My Friends.

“What is FriendShip?” FriendShip is a five day, four night immersive festival experience on a cruise ship that stops at a private island, CocoCay, for two days. With some of the most talented international names in music coming aboard, this is the place to be with all your friends.

First and foremost to highlight is this year’s released lineup. Once again, FriendShip is bringing the full spectrum of talent on the ship. We will have the legendary Boys Noize back again this year, joining the funk-master Griz, AC Slater’s Night Bass crew, TroyBoi and Ty Dolla $ign. As we saw from last year’s lineup, Gary provides the right amount of genre diversity. You’ll hear some classic funky house from Channel Tres, while Billy Kenny and Noizu have the tech house covered. We can only hope for some liquid drum and bass, played out by Taiki Nulight, along with his classic bass house sounds. Personally, I am so excited to experience the incredible experimental bass of CharlesTheFirst, Eprom and Lucii

As we set sail to board the boat in a little over two months, the anticipation rises, looking at all of those incredible names. Don’t just take my word for how enjoyable this lineup is; AMF has crafted the perfect FriendShip pregame playlist on Spotify. As Gary says, “don’t read the lineup, listen to it.

The Navigator of the Seas by Royal Caribbean is the ultimate cruise ship to host the FriendShip adventure. Spread across 15 decks, The Navigator is essentially a sailing miniature town. Just to list off some of the activities on the boat: an escape room, mini golf, a rock climbing wall, water slides, an ice skating rink, a casino, a video arcade, a Starbucks, a surf simulator and so, SO MUCH MORE. Feel free to explore the deck plans here. Just imagine yourself playing a quick game of mini golf with some of your favorite Night Bass artists. Or starting your day at sea with a calming yoga session with all your friends.

Not only are we blessed with a music festival cruise ship, FriendShip will spend two days docked at CocoCay in the Bahamas. This island presents a ‘Choose Your Adventure’ type of experience. Want to go explore and take the tourist route? Kayaking, parasailing and more are available to book once aboard The Navigator. Need some recovery time from the festival madness? There are multiple beaches, pools, island walking trails and bungalows to help you recuperate.  If you just can’t get enough, beach parties are happening all day long, with your favorite artists and your favorite tunes. There is truly an activity for everyone at CocoCay.

The essence of Friendship is perfectly explained by the man himself. “There is a place where my friends and I go and we do fun things—the kind of fun things that build everlasting memories that I could never put a price on and I absolutely never could because these times are priceless and irreplaceable. At the end when I look back and reminisce about these times I had and the experiences that molded me and watered me enough to grow, I’ll think about all the friends I’ve made along the way and how I am a part of their story and they are more than all my friends. They are all my family. That is FRIENDSHIP.” You can feel this energy in the recap video from the first annual FriendShip below.
