Summer Meltdown has announced their 2019 lineup and its one not to miss. Set in the mountains of Darrington, Washington, the intimate festival is one of the best kept secrets of the Pacific Northwest. I attended last year and was blown away by literally everything the festival had to offer—a small, intimate size of around 4,500, a magnificent forested backdrop surrounded by snow capped mountains, an impressive and diverse lineup, and the RIVER to splash in during the day. Pack your favorite floaties and dancing shoes because you do not want to sleep on this gem of a festival.

The Details

  • Where: Darrington, WA
  • When: August 1-4th, 2019
  • What: Camping Festival
  • Who: YOU! and, drumroll please: This year we have:
Tipper, Gramatik, Umphrey’s McGee, Clozee, Spafford, Minnesota, Break Science, Nahko and Medicine for the People, The Polish Ambassador and G Jones, to name a few. This lineup reminds me of Summer Camp and in the best way possible. A lover of both jam bands and dubstep, I absolutely jump at a festival who offers a little bit of everything. Who doesn’t love swaying and grooving to the dulcet notes of Nahko and Spafford during the day and rage to G Jones and Buku as night falls? Check out the entire lineup below.

With only 3 stages total you can leave the FOMO at home this year. You won’t have to choose between artists as the two, main stages sit kiddy corner to one another, with only one of them playing at a time. As one artist finishes, it’s only minutes before the next act begins on the stage next to it. All the audience has to do is pivot—think Counterpoint Festival (RIP). Mountains frame the stepped amphitheater, which provide excellent views from all angles.

The magic begins once the sun sets.

Adventures Await!

In addition to the river and music, last year a number of local adventures were offered. Whitewater rafting, helicopter rides, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and mountain biking are just some of the activities you can partake in. Check back soon for further information on the 2019 Adventures!

Workshops

A number of workshops will be hosted as well throughout the weekend. Workshops include Beginning AcroYoga Foundations, Adventures in Authenticity, Green Yoga, Manifesting Magick: Cacao Ceremony, Rhythmic Flow and Sacred vibrations: Journey Through Sound. Here’s a link to more information about each workshop. Schedules will be released closer to the festival.

If this year is anything like last, then Summer Meltdown has lots of fun in store for us! Snag your tickets here and I promise you will not regret it! Can We Melt Yet????
