Pick Your Poison at Escape Psycho Circus

October has arrived and with it comes the spookiest circus in all the land – Escape Psycho Circus – taking place October 26-27 at the NOS Center in San Bernardino, CA. Insomniac has delivered a lineup that instills delicious fright in the hearts of even the most hardened thrill seekers. From the pumping techno of Factory 93 to the rattling hardstyle of Basscon, Escape once again provides some pretty solid Halloween weekend plans. But with so many insane artists how will you choose? Find a scary movie you vibe with and add that DJ to your spine-tingling schedule for the night:

PSYCHO

A calculated thriller with an unexpected ending, when the original Psycho was in theaters in 1960, movie goers were given the option to sneak out with their tail between their legs if they couldn’t bear to watch what happened next. This movie can only match up with one genre – hardstyle. Not for the weak, there’s no shame in stepping out for a minute to get some air as legends like Angerfist, Junkie Kid and Zatox punish party goers inside. With slow builds and crushing bass anyone addicted to hardstyle can tell you – it’s a can’t miss formula.

SCREAM

Some startling moments but overall a humor driven flick, Scream takes you down the path of a classic scary movie with a dash of tongue in cheek flair. Strap on that creepy black and white mask and get wild at sets like A-Trak b2b YehMe2, Phantoms and Kayzo. Providing the perfect mix of bangers and laughs, these artists have equal parts raw talent and sharp sense of humor.

FRIDAY THE 13TH

A classic horror franchise that featured a main character people just couldn’t get enough of, Friday the 13th delivered stab after stab to the slasher flick faithful. The movies have quite the following and you’re sure to see a Jason mask or two slinking around the NOS Center. Catch a few DJs at Escape that have built a similar dynasty for themselves and, dare we say, a cult following. Follow the totems for Kaskade, Eric Prydz, Excision and Yellow Claw.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

Is your mind playing tricks on you? What WAS that noise though? Paranormal Activity had its subjects questioning their sanity while looking over their shoulder. Dark and mysterious, Factory 93 definitely goes bump in the night. Artists like Green Velvet, Camelphat and Loco Dice will have you questioning what is real and what is imaginary – you never know what awaits in depths of the underground.
