It’s that time of the year again, when all the EDM ghouls, fairies, creepy-crawlies and more gather at some of the best events across the United States. With so many incredible options, how does a fan narrow down where to spend the Halloween weekend?

For me it was an easy selection: Get Freaky in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 26th & 27th. This 14th annual festival is ran by V2 Presents, Utah’s powerhouse promoter. Every year V2 outdoes themselves with the talent they bring in for Utah’s greatest Halloween event.

Get Freaky is hosted at one of the more well known venues in the Salt Lake area, the Great Saltair. The Great Saltair is right on the beach of Salt Lake, creating some of the most stunning sunsets for you and your rave family to experience while getting lost in the electronic sounds of Halloween. The “Tent of Terror” outside stage is returning this year, decorated for the horror fan’s delight.

Get Freaky is bringing in some seriously scary bass to headline each night. Zomboy’s classic dubstep, Boombox Cartel with ribbons of feels in their heavy drops, an epic Flux Pavilion b2b Doctor P and the wobbles brought by Ganja White Night.

The rest of the lineup fits right in line with the headliners. Get Freaky is coming with an exciting variety this year, filling the Great Saltair with sounds of grimey house, trap and more dubstep from start to finish.

Whipped Cream

This Canadian producer is making waves throughout the entire electronic scene with her incredibly unique sound. She just announced her “Blood” North American tour, immediately following the release of her new single “Blood”. She is breaking stereotypes and rewriting them with her recognizable Whipped Cream style of bass music. Her set is going to be a true musical experience and will leave you craving more.

According to his online bios, this dubstep producer from “Antartica” is one of my most anticipated sets to see at Get Freaky. He is only two years into producing and has already appeared on a number of popular dubstep labels, like Circus Records and Black Label, propelling himself forward in the dubstep producer community. He recently released his EP titled Mammoth that has bass so heavy it will melt your face. If you aren’t familiar with any of his tracks yet, his remix of Excision’s track “Her is the first one you need to start with. His producing is anything but mainstream dubstep.

While you are planning your creepy-crawly, zombified or pixie dusted costume, be sure to check out the sights and sounds of Get Freaky with the 2018 trailer, showcasing the Halloween weekend unfolding in a few weeks!

This festival is an ideal two-night event for any raver not trying to spend a fortune on a Halloween weekend ticket. Even though this is not a camping festival, V2 Presents has organized affordable travel accommodation packages for any out-of-town attendants. There are also shuttle packages available so you can enjoy your evening without the stress of driving through post-festival traffic.

This lineup is one you don’t want to miss, especially at this amazing price. You can buy your tickets and travel packages HERE!
