One of the biggest summer festivals is right around the corner and if you haven’t already seen what all the hype is about, you’re in for a treat! Austria’s leading electronic music event is returning to Salzburgring for the 6th year in a row and promises to deliver nothing but the best the scene has to offer.
This year will be my third time attending and I cannot wait to discover my story at Electric Love! This festival is one of my favourite festivals in the world and is always on my summer itinerary! Here are 5 reasons why Electric Love Festival should be on your summer bucket list:
1. THE LINEUP
Recently releasing the final phase of artists, Electric Love has one of the most diverse and powerful festival lineups in the world. With just under 80 artists spread out across four massive stages, the lineup features some of the best DJs in the world and leading names in the hardstyle, techno, and drum’ n’ bass scene. 2. THE STAGES
One of my favourite things about walking into a festival is seeing the insane and creative stage designs. Electric Love doesn’t hold back on this part. With four stages strategically placed throughout the festival grounds, each area creates its own unique vibe with specially designed megastructures.
The main stage regularly features a combination of square crate-like pieces, which gives it the signature Electric Love look and feel. On the other side of the grounds, the designated hardstyle stage regularly brings over one of Q-Dance’s iconic animal themed structures, which is just as impressive as the main stage! As usual, there is always an indoor stage, which hosts the opening party as well as a variety of underground DJ’s. Finally, it wouldn’t be a festival without a Heineken House and this year’s Heineken Starclub stage will be returning bigger and better than ever with a completely new design! I am beyond excited to see what this year’s stages will look like!
3. THE PRODUCTION
One thing I always look out for at festivals is the amount of money that goes into the production and again, Electric Love does not hold back! With fireworks lighting up the sky all night, pyro warming up people as far as the back row and confetti and streamers raining down on the regular, this festival has it all in terms of production!
Arrive early on Thursday night and catch the special opening ceremony with an insane fireworks display! Stay until the very end on Saturday night and you’ll see another incredible display of lights and flames! Just about every moment in between will also be filled with one of the highest quality productions in the country! If you like lights and lasers, this is the festival for you!
4. THE LOCATION
Just a short bus ride from the city center of Salzburg, Austria, the festival is held at Salzburgring. The motorsport racetrack located at the bottom of a hill in the Austrian countryside acts as a perfect location for a festival. Camping options are available with two campsites located on either side of the festival grounds at the top of a hill, overlooking incredible views.
If camping isn’t your thing, the city of Salzburg is equally as beautiful and has tonnes of things to see and do. Free shuttles operate non-stop throughout the entire weekend from the central station to the campgrounds and festival grounds, making it quick and easy to get to and from the event. This is one of my favourite festival locations in the world and if you make it to the festival, you’ll see why!
5. THE PRICE
Big festivals often carry a hefty price tag and festival expenses can add up quickly. So one of the best things about this festival is the price! Three day passes are currently on fourth and final release at 159 euros which comes to around $186 USD. Add an opening party ticket to your cart and you’re paying just about $200 USD at most for a four-day event, which is absolutely unheard of!

Electric Love Festival is one of my favourite festivals in the world and I can’t recommend this event enough! With consistently impressive lineups and amazing organisation, Electric Love is giving other major festivals a run for their money!
