I need a pick me up. After traveling to 3 festivals over the month of September, I am having serious withdrawals. When the post festival blues are a very real thing, the only thing left to do is plan your next adventure. Insomniac came to the rescue with one of the most amazing line-ups I have ever seen for trance. Dreamstate, or as #trancefam lovingly calls it “trancegiving” is held on November 24 & 25 at the NOS Event Center in Southern California. Boasting 4 stages of amazing talent, this event will most assuredly be more exciting than those Thanksgiving leftovers sitting in your fridge.
I could not be more excited to attend my second Insomniac event, and the lineup is absolutely fire. With a lineup this stacked it is hard to chose favorites, however my two big choices not to be missed will be Armin Van Buuren with his Gaia live PA set (I’m already rejoicing) and the return of the trance godfather Paul Van Dyk with his fully immersive AEON show. This will be more than a show for PVD, this will be an EXPERIENCE! Many of you may remember that Paul fell 20 plus feet at an ASOT festival in Urecht, and has had amazing success since his recovery. The man fractured his spine twice and was in a coma. I witnessed his first live set back in action at the 20th anniversary EDC LV, (there were some tears from this trance mama) and I have been itching to see him again since that moment.
Here’s the fantastic lineup for those of you ready to potentially break your mother’s heart and head out to SoCal for this magical event. I’m flying out early Friday morning so that I get the best of both worlds. Mother knows best right?
