22,000 Festival Attendees Evacuated After Tomorrowland Stage Sets Fire in Barcelona

Tomorrowland Unite, an event held in Barcelona this year, had to evacuate over 20,000 festival goers as the main stage was set ablaze. It took about 12 firefighters an hour to kill the flames. The cause of the fire was said to be a “technical malfunction” according to Tomorrowland officials. No major injuries reported, although about 20 individuals needed to be treated for minor injuries or emotional support.

 

Shortly after the fire, the Barcelona event was cancelled.
