Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan are on the rise, and it’s time that we pay attention. Hailing from Drake’s hometown, these two are forces to be reckoned with. It’s no secret they’re signed to OVO Sound, giving them instant credibility. The record label co-founded by Drizzy himself signs the best of the best, with notable names like PARTYNEXTDOOR and dvsn.
Majid Jordan, made up of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, launched their career through a little song called “Hold On, We’re Going Home“. After being featured on and co-producing the hit track in 2013, it was only up from there. They released their first EP, A Place Like This, in 2014, featuring one of our personal favorites, Forever. Catchy is an understatement.
As if being signed to OVO sound wasn’t enough, the duo went on to produce “My Love” featuring Drake, another insanely catchy tune. Can you tell we’re Drake fans yet?
Their newest release, Phases, is what we’re really here to talk about. Considering we’ve waited almost a year for more music from the R&B duo, it’s safe to say we’re stoked they’re releasing music again. This single did not disappoint. We’ll have this silky smooth track on repeat.
The group is currently on tour (BLESS) making stops in Canada before heading to Lollapalooza and FYF Fest. We’re eager to see what they’ll pull out for FYF this year. Considering the history of FYF’s featured artists, we think they’ll fit right in.
