It’s that time of year again…that time where a million different festival lineups are dropping in cities all across the country, and you’re left looking at your bank account trying to figure out a way to do it all. I feel your pain, and I’m sorry to say I’m about to make your decisions a little more difficult—sorry, not sorry!
Because if Sonic Bloom isn’t on your radar for June, then it definitely will be after this article. This festival, burrowed in the gorgeous Spanish Peaks mountain range, just 2.5 hours south of Denver boasts the best line up and vibes year after year. This year looks to be no different, as they released an incredible phase one lineup.
What I love most about this lineup, is how unique it is in terms of artists. It’s a sad reality that with such an oversaturated festival market, most summer lineups are beginning to look the same. Most fests pull in the heavy hitters but fail to recognize so many other talented artists with smaller names. That’s not the case with Sonic Bloom! Year after year, Bloom brings in an eclectic mix of artists of all sounds, so you’re guaranteed to find new beats and enjoy your favorites.
Music might be what initially draws us to make the journey out to a festival, but the atmosphere is what keeps you coming back. Those that have attended have overwhelmingly great things to say about their experiences.
The venue itself is a beautiful ranch complete with scenic views of the mountains and a relaxing river onsite to cool off in. Most mornings you’ll find people posted up in hammocks above the river taking it all in. Most nights you can relax by taking in a planetarium of stars after being mindblown by amazing visual artists.
Bloom welcomes in a variety of live painters, performers, VJs, vendors and more. The festival offers a few different ways for creatives to get involved through their application process, which you can find here. This is an amazing platform to showcase your talents and experience the festival on a deeper level.
There are so many other ways you can experience the festival though. Need to loosen up those muscles after dancing the night away? Bloom has yoga classes daily. Interested in learning something new? There will be an array of workshops offered throughout the days on anything from sound healing to permaculture. Want to teleport? Well, we can’t quite do that yet… but Soundscape VR can imitate the feeling through a 360 psychedelic virtual reality experience.
Sonic Bloom has everything you’re looking for and even the things you didn’t know you wanted. So don’t wait, grab your tickets here today!
See you guys at Hummingbird Ranch on June 18-21, 2020!
