Summer has ended, the chill Autumn winds have arrived…It’s officially time to “Get Freaky.”
Salt Lake City came with an extremely stacked and diverse line-up for the 15th anniversary of this 2-day Halloween affair. Seeing this line-up, my mind was instantly made. These are two days of amazing music that no one should miss. The past three years that I have attended Get Freaky, this festival has been so, so much fun. It gives everyone a full weekend of music AND some crazy, creative costumes.
What could be better than that? …the SET TIMES for Get Freaky!
Let’s get planning…
The Great Saltair will kick off Friday with a few of my favorite local artists, like ER at the Tent of Terror. So get to the dance floor early to catch this dynamic duo throw down some groovy house tunes! Throughout the night we have some heavy hitters who are HUGE in the scene right now, including Born Dirty, Whipped Cream, Drezo, and JOYRYDE. And, of course, many of us are getting ready to go on a very “spiritual level” and see our girl Alison Wonderland (who we’ve been waiting for since Get Freaky 2016) close out the Tomb of Doom.
Now one stacked day is never enough for us festival goers, so let’s hit the Day 2 lineup! Start out with up and coming local artist Lazer Kitten or SHSTR to get the night rolling. Then kick it into gear with Blanke, Sullivan King, the legend Benny Benassi, and of course the one and only Porter Robinson (with plenty more artists to choose from between the two stages).
Honestly, this lineup is so good, I could go on forever about who you should go see and when. But in all reality, these are two spooky and fun nights to dress up, meet new friends, and dance the night away.
