Don’t Sleep on Infrasound

For one weekend of the year, a bass haven is set up in a quiet little forest. It’s not widely advertised and doesn’t boast all the trinkets of many other festivals, but for those who know, it’s the most anticipated fest of the year.

Who

Only the best of the best in bass music. From the headliners to the very last line of the undercard, Infrasound talent buyers made certain that this line up was well worth the wait.

I’m personally looking forward to Amon Tobin as his musical alter-ego, Two Fingers. I am also stoked that Vibesquad is on the bill; those two are on my must-see list this year! As a big fan of downtempo, Bluetech and Shrimpnose are right up my alley. And for when the nights get weird and wompy, you can find me at Detox Unit, Tipper, Mr. Bill, and kLL sMTH. However, I’m most looking forward to finding new artists to love on and with this killer lineup, I can tell that’ll be easy!

When:

The festival is making the move from its previous home of Highbridge, Wisconsin to the beautiful grounds of Harmony Park in a quaint little town of Geneva, Minnesota. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy blissful summer days underneath the shade of the venue’s many 100-year old trees. In an announcement about the venue change, the festival stated:

“When we first had the idea of starting Infrasound this was our dream home and now, after years of establishing ourselves as one of the premier underground electronic festivals, we have been invited to host the event there with open arms…”

Why

Besides the incredible lineup, matched with an exciting new venue, Infrasound brings out the best of the best in terms of sound. This year the festival will have three stages with three sound systems, including Void, Funktion-One, and Hennessey. So you’ll be hearing these amazing artists exactly how they should be heard, on crisp, clear, loudspeakers.

Infrasound also has a reputation for having great fans. The scene is laid back, intimate and authentic. You’re not going to find frat bros in jerseys or giant totems here. You will find kindhearted individuals letting their freak flag fly and embracing you for doing the same.
