EDC Las Vegas is a place like no other. It’s an out-of-this-world land where festival goers can express themselves to the fullest. This year’s EDCLV was surprisingly cold, but that didn’t stop the festival fashionistas from making themselves known. Under the electric sky, the bravest of the brave faced the cold winds in utter dedication to show off their style.
EDC Las Vegas 2019 saw a great mix of bright colors, fringe everything (from shirts to skirts to jackets!), as well as tastefully mixed in long sleeve/pant combos that may not have been initially planned, but were essential.
Hair!
Colorful hair extensions and braids are always a festival favorite and the perfect accessory. Hair accessories like glitter, gems and eccentric hair clips have been on the rise and are just another beautiful addition to rave wear. Wigs and hair extensions not only add more depth to your look but allow you to completely transform yourself.
Glasses/Goggles
Take a simple outfit and amp it up with a killer pair of sunglasses or goggles. Glasses and/or goggles are another huge trend throughout the EDM festival scene lately. They’re great to block out the daytime sun and fractal glasses give the lasers and visuals new depth. Light up goggles like Rezz’s were seen all throughout the festival, and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Hats
Hats of all kinds are huge at festivals like EDC. From captain hats to marching band hats, ravers take the blank canvas and turn them into beautiful pieces of art.
Fishnets
This year, I’ve seen a lot of incorporation of fishnets in nontraditional ways. From full bodysuits to long sleeve fishnet tops, ravers are taking something as classic as the fishnet stocking and making it more diverse. Spice up any bodysuit or two-piece outfit with the unexpected but diverse pattern of fishnets.
Glitter, Glitter Everywhere!
Don’t have a top figured out for your outfit? Wear glitter! Make a statement with your placing and really shine by getting out of your comfort zone. This trend is perfect for the hot festival nights.
All in all, as festivals continue to grow, we can definitely expect to see new trends and an ever-changing style. Though, one thing will remain the same with festival fashion: it will always be the #1 place to be fearless and the most you.
