Are you ready for an EDM packed weekend in Tampa? It’s time to kick off the summer with Sunset Music Festival. While Sunset may be a smaller festival, it’s definitely not one you want to miss. Besides, a smaller festival means more room to dance and ride the rail.
Sunset kicked off the year with releasing a mindblowing phase 1 lineup. The first phase of the lineup included acts like Blunts & Blondes, Alison Wonderland, 12th Planet, Tchami and more. This got us really wondering how it could get much better. And boy, it got even better.
New acts to the lineup include Dion Timmer, Liquid Stranger, Zedd, Bonnie x Clyde, Zeds Dead and many more. Whether you’re a bass head, house lover, or trap fan, there is something for everyone. Even better, most of these artists have released or are releasing new music before the festival. And really, is there anything better than hearing new music through those giant speakers? We didn’t think so.
To top off all the epic acts, we will be expecting a few local acts this year at Sunset as well. Ritz Ybor residents Lizzy Jane, OB7 and Pedro M are all local to Tampa, so it’s pretty awesome to see them involved in this year’s SMF. Lizzy Jane takes over The Ritz Ybor every Friday for Pound Friday, so we’re definitely excited to see her kill it this year. You may have seen Pedro M open for some acts at The Ritz like Malaa, Tritonal and more. OB7 often brings down the house for Sunset Saturdays with his killer sound.

With two stages, the festival is always jammed packed with something going on. This year, we are expecting takeovers from Anjunabeats as well as Zeds Dead’s very own Deadbeats.
Year after year, Sunset puts on an amazing festival and being right in the heart of Tampa, the pre-parties and after parties are plentiful. Put on by Sunset Events, there is bound to be tons going on at the Ritz Ybor. Keep an eye on their event calendar here.
