The onset of warmer weather on the west coast brings thoughts of summer festivals and Southern California’s HARD Summer is a fan favorite. The neon green and black flyers found on car windshields in recent weeks proclaimed “Summer is Coming”, a clever play on the return of everyone’s favorite weekly medieval pleasure. Amidst of flurry lineup drops, HARD Summer revealed perhaps the most eye-popping list of speaker rattling talent on any summer lineup thus far. From rare B2B’s to breakout rap headliners, Insomniac has stayed true to the particular tastes of the HARD attendee – dank, dark, raw, snarling beats. See what awaits on August 3rd and 4th below:

Lineup Highlights

At first glance one might be delighted to see the likes of Kid Cudi headlining day 1. Attendees of Coachella, as well as Couchella live stream viewers, were treated to a nostalgic trip back in time with the man on the moon Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 Cudi brought out special guest Kanye West to perform tracks off their collaborative album, Kids See Ghosts

The second day brings 2 eye-popping B2B’s to the stage, ZHU B2B Tchami and Flux Pavilion B2B Netsky. The inventive sounds of ZHU combined with Tchami’s addictive basslines is going to be a can’t-miss set and dubstep & DNB faithful just may reach nirvana thanks to Flux and Netsky pairing up.

Additional bright spots on the lineup include smooth operator Amtrac, red hot newcomer Noizu and HARD event veteran Anna Lunoe whose new music and visuals fire on all cylinders. Each glimpse at the lineup reveals a new act to be added to the must-see list. Plan to wear comfortable sneakers and get the most bang for your buck.

Venue Enhancements

This year’s event returns to the The Speedway in Fontana in Southern California and promises even more shade, more free water stations and the festival grounds will be covered in a dust-minimizing material, great news for attendees and their lungs. Last year’s VIP area was an absolute oasis and 2019 will be no different with pools to cool off in, dedicated bars and charging stations as well as super-close viewing areas at each stage.

After years of venue shifts HARD Summer has truly made great strides in perfecting the Fontana Speedway event that can be difficult to facilitate in the hot August sun. With a completely stacked lineup and enhanced amenities, the event is hard to say no to…so don’t! You can snag your spot for only $19.99 down today, so no excuses.
