New to the festival circuit this May 3rd and 4th, Goldenvoice is getting millennial rockers ready to jam to an iconic lineup at a perfectly named festival: Just Like Heaven. After the launch of ticket sales was met with such an overwhelmingly positive response and sold out within minutes, a second day of performances were added to accommodate for everyone. It makes sense, after all, because everybody wants to go to Heaven.

Festival goers will be super excited to see legendary bands: Phoenix, MGMT, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Beach House as headliners for the festival in Long Beach, California. In addition, artists like Passion Pit, STRFKR, Tokyo Police Club, Ra Ra Riot and more will be joining us for two days at the Queen Mary Park. Unfortunately, the festival won’t actually be taking place onboard the famously haunted cruise-liner, so we won’t have a chance to rock out with any ghosts—yet.

It’s the ten year anniversary of Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ album It’s Blitz! and its fire starter hit “Heads Will Roll.” One decade later and that track still gets us moving. Fans will be excited to experience Karen O’s unique energy and vocals as well as hope for new material, as the band’s most recent album was released in 2013. Let’s get ready to bare all our emotions singing along to “Maps,” a song that has resonated so deeply with so many that it even received a nod from Beyoncé on her album Lemonade.

Phoenix

Although they’ve been away from the charts, Phoenix has held a special place in our hearts. The French performers have used their success to carve their own innovative path through music, and have left mainstream media demands for hits behind, appealing to our emotions instead. Nothing unites people like music; it connects us together in a magic moment in the middle of our crazy lives, and I can’t want for Phoenix to deliver.

Passion Pit

Also celebrating a ten year anniversary of their album is none other than Passion Pit. It’s been a decade since the release of their debut album Manners, and the indietronic band from Massachussetts has come a long way. From tracks like “Sleepyhead” (from the Chunk of Change EP and Manners album), to tracks like “The Reeling” and “Little Secrets” which peaked on the Billboard Alternatives chart at 34 and 39. With Passion Pit included on this lineup, their upcoming set will make everyone’s “Dreams” come true.

Tokyo Police Club

The Canadian indie rock band Tokyo Police Club will also be performing at Just Like Heaven. They’ve traveled and toured alongside Weezer and Foster the People; and performed at some major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, Outsidelands, Bonnaroo and more. Their recent album TPC, which was released on October of last year, had a Juno nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. So we’re excited to see that they’ve included Just Like Heaven as one of their stops for their ongoing tour.

Many have said this lineup is a huge callback to Coachella 2013. It is true, however, that most of these artists did perform. Some people have actually viewed this as a negative, but I totally and honestly think the Festival Gods have smiled down upon us and given us two afternoons of musical magic and an amazing festival season.

Check out the rest of the lineup below and don’t miss out on two days of Heaven! Tickets are still available for their second additional date of May 3rd here at https://www.justlikeheavenfest.com/!
