After long speculation and anticipation, React Presents has officially announced its six headliners and new location for the eighth edition of Spring Awakening Music Festival! This year, Spring Awakening will be held on June 7th-9th and migrate from Addams/Medill Park in Chicago to Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Although Spring Awakening is an all-electronic music festival, the talent it brings within the EDM genre is so diverse. The initial six headliners are DJ Snake, ZEDD, Martin Garrix, REZZ, GRiZ, and Illenium. All of these incredible artists have made quite a name for themselves within the music scene, and I am fully prepared for the remainder of the lineup to be just as stacked. The full lineup for Spring Awakening 2019 will contain over 90 artists across five stages and will be released this Friday, March 15th.

Last year was my first Spring Awakening, and it entirely exceeded my expectations. The stages were mesmerizing, the decorations were captivating, the food options were plentiful, and the vendors were diverse. Poplar Creek will be almost double the size of Addams/Medill Park, and there are endless possibilities React can do with this newfound space. Currently, its hinting at new stages, interactive art installations, and other types of experiential additions. I know Spring Awakening will transform its new venue into something truly magical for attendees. I have no idea what to expect, but I’m ecstatic to see what is to come!

“This decision was made with our fans in mind, in order to deliver them the best Spring Awakening at a site that will offer a superior experience.” -Patrick Grumley and Matt Rucins, React Presents co-general managers

Another thing particularly notable about this new location is the added convenience. Polar Creek is less than 10 minutes from many hotels, making transportation much more of a breeze for those coming from farther areas. There will also be complimentary shuttles from nearby Metra train stations for commuters and on-site festival parking for those who decide to drive.

Single day ticket options have not been released yet, but 3-Day GA and VIP Early Bird prices are still available on its website. Before fees, 3-day GA passes start at $169 and 3-day VIP 21+ start at $299. Payment plans are also available. Click here to purchase your 3-day passes!
