Kosmic Kingdom is bringing a bass-heavy lineup to Des Moines, Iowa, on May 31st and June 1st. This stacked lineup is headlined by Liquid Stranger, OPIUO, Dirt Monkey, Subtronics, Trifinity (Yheti, Toadface, Mt. Analogue), CharlestheFirst, Shlump, and Truth.

Kosmic Kingdom evolved from the Kosmos Music Festival held in St. Charles, Iowa, before moving to its new location last year. The new 40-acre location at Sleepy Hollow Renaissance Park gives festival-goers a chance to experience the feel of a medieval village filled with multiple castle stages, renaissance style buildings, art installations, full scale bars, RV-camping spots with electric hookups, flat, grassy lands for GA camping, on-site medieval buildings for after parties, and much more. Attendees will be lost in time only to find themselves face to face with some of the most sought after and rising dubstep, funk-bass, electro-funk, and experimental-bass artists to date.

Some artists to look out for include:

EAZYBAKED

EAZYBAKED is the dynamic duo of two friends from Florida who have been bringing immersive bass, deep dubstep, downtempo, and electric beats to venues and festivals across the United States. EAZYBAKED began when Eric Ray, who goes by EAZY, and Andrew Principle, who goes by Mr. Baked, combined their talents into one, and have been making intricate bass music that truly emphasizes their creativity and bond ever since. They just released their latest EP on the Wakaan label, Alone With Yourself, and have gone on tour with Liquid Stranger, Space Jesus, Buku, Shlump, Conrack, Yheti, and Prophet, just to name a few. Check out their track “Vessel” off their latest EP and make sure to catch them at Kosmic Kingdom! Their set will be one you won’t want to miss.

Lucii

This Orlando-native just became the first female artist to release a single on the bass label Wakaan. Emily Rose, better known as Lucii, has been creating dreamlike, bass beats with captivating lyrics that turns dubstep into an emotional form. After touring with Liquid Stranger on his INFINITY tour, there is much more we should be expecting to see from this enchanting artist. Her heartfelt lyrics and celestial sounds will be some you do not want to miss at Kosmic Kingdom. Check out her latest release “Neptune” below.

Of The Trees

Of The Trees has been traveling across the country creating experimental bass music that is persistently groovy yet still as enticing and complex. Maine-native Tyler Coombs, better known as Of The Trees, has been incorporating echoing flutes, tambourines, and drum noises with funky melodies, hip-hop sounds, and filthy wubs to create a sound that crossovers into a variety of electronic genres. His latest Harvest EP shows full evidence of what Of The Trees has to offer, and that there is so much more in store for what’s to come. He recently just toured with Space Jesus on his Temple of Noom tour and will continue on traveling this year with CharlestheFirst. Check out his track “Durin’s Tower” to get a taste of what’s in store at Kosmic Kingdom.
