The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here! Your inaugural 2019 Railbird Music Festival Lineup is here! This year’s lineup features top notch performers including some music legends including The Raconteurs, Hozier, Brandi Carlile, Tyler Childers, and much more! Other than the headliners, the rest of the Railbird lineup has plenty of talented musicians you wouldn’t want to miss this August. Old Crow Medicine Show, Billy Strings, Gary Clark Jr, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Jade Bird, and Mavis Staples are just a few of the other acts you need to mark on your schedule! Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler are back at it with The Raconteurs and have big things planned for the year! For the first time in over a decade The Raconteurs will be releasing a full length album! The band has released two singles titled “Sunday Driver” and “Now That You’re Gone” that will be on the currently untitled album. The band is also hitting the road behind the album release and are performing at festivals and venues around the world including the recently announced Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary and now Railbird! Andrew Hozier-Byrne, known as Hozier, is back with the release of his much anticipated sophomore album Wasteland, Baby! Almost five years after being launched into the spotlight with his debut self titled album and hit single “Take Me To Church”, Hozier is back and embarking on a huge tour in support of this second album. Hozier has already been added to lineups at festivals around the world including Hangout Fest, Boston Calling, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and now will be taking the stage at Railbird!
Just over a year ago Brandi Carlile released her sixth studio album titled By The Way, I Forgive You, which quickly became the highest charting album of Carlile’s career! The album also gave her six Grammy nominations (three wins), the most by any female in 2019! Brandi Carlile is also performing at a number of festivals around the world including Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary and now Railbird! Don’t miss your chance to see her perform this summer! Tyler Childers is the local hero on the lineup this year! Originally from Paintsville, Kentucky, Childers began performing in Lexington in 2011 and has been making a name for himself in the country and bluegrass music scene since! The release of his recent album Purgatory shot Tyler in the spotlight when it debuted number 1 on the charts! Childers is now making his return to the city where it all started to put on what will be an emotional and top notch performance! Check out his single “Feathered Indians” below!
