As a loyal Anjuna fan, my emotions felt slightly triggered at the tease of a possible return to their milestone venue and “spiritual home”, The Gorge Amphitheater. And my hopes were fulfilled.
Last week Above & Beyond announced the official dates and information for their debut two day Group Therapy Weekender. Set to be held at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state this summer, on July 27th-28th, the duo will be returning home accompanied with talent from the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep label.
Following this momentous announcement, an absolutely delicious lineup has been just been revealed. TWO A&B sets, an appearance from the acclaimed Andrew Bayer, Yotto and Ben Böhmer are just a few names drawn from the ridiculously stacked list of talent performing at this year’s event.
This location holds a special place in the trio’s heart and fans alike, as it was the home to their sold out 25,000 person capacity ABGT250 in 2017. Many described this past Anjunafamily experience at The Gorge to be transformational and life changing, thus fans have steadily encouraged and appealed for a second chance at the experience. With such high emotions surrounding the venue, music and community, the decision to return feels personal, like a true response to the fan’s request.
