Eric Prydz Announces Pryda Spring Tour 2019

Eric Prydz recently dropped some HUGE news – he is returning to the US on a mini-tour featuring one of his darker aliases, Pryda. The distinguishing feature of these Pryda shows will be a heavy emphasis on deeper underground tech-house vibes, and you can expect it will be a stark contrast to his Eric Prydz sets.  The stops on this tour are extremely limited, as most of Eric Prydz’s shows are. Only 5 cities in the US will be graced with the rare opportunity to experience a dedicated Pryda set this spring – Chicago, NYC, Boston, Washington DC, and Miami. It should come as no surprise that every single one of these shows sold out in mere minutes, if not seconds. Tickets for these shows are in extremely high demand, which comes as no surprise because fans understand that it is not only a rather rare occurrence for Eric Prydz to play individual shows, but he almost never tours as Pryda.

The Chicago show sold out in literally one second, the fastest sell-out the venue has ever recorded. The theme of this tour seems to be giving a strong homage to the underground music scene. The Chicago show is on March 2nd, although since doors are at 12:30AM, it is technically on March 3rd. The show goes until 5AM, and no openers have been announced. Keeping in line with traditional late night tech-house parties, I’d expect an extended Pryda set with no opener. I’d be over the moon for 3+ hours of all Pryda, all night.

Considering that he’s performed a number of shows as Cirez D, his techno alias, in the last year or so, it was only a matter of time before Pryda shows were announced. Is a Tonja Holma tour coming next?
