We’re filled with excitement as HARD Day of the Dead returns after a long hiatus from the Halloween festival circuits. Returning to the venue where DOTD originated from, we’re stoked to experience this event at the newly redone Los Angeles Historic State Park. There are incredible sets to look forward to such as Justice‘s LAST live set for this decade, a B2B performance featuring Lee Foss and Felix da Housecat, a surprise special guest, and much more. Luckily, HARD fest has us covered by releasing a series of official mixtapes to get ready for DOTD’s return. So get a taste of what to expect and vibe out to these mixtapes below!
Official Mixtape Series #1: Jack Beats
London-based electronic duo (?) Jack Beats is no stranger to the HARD fest lineups. Known for their wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy a capellas, their sound is perfect to kick off the first official mixtape series. In this mix you’ll hear some notable sounds such as “Mendo” with Taiki Nulight, “The Remedy” and “Raise It UP” with DJ Zinc and featuring MCGQ.
Official Mixtape Series #2: OMNOM
Next up on the official mixtape series is OMNOM. After an incredible performance at this year’s Hard Summer Music Festival, OMNOM returns to bring tech house vibes to DOTD! In this mixtape, OMNOM provides almost an entire list of unreleased tracks such as “Trippin Hazard” with Steady Rock, “Number One Fan” and “Hustler” with Wyatt Marshall.
Official Mixtape Series #3: Rybo vs. Lubelski
Also coming in hot as the third official mixtape series is Los Angeles-based DJs Rybo and Lubelski. Both these artists are performing for their first HARDfest event and what a perfect way to have a HARD debut performance than with a b2b set. These on-the-rise house and techno artists are giving you a glimpse of what to expect for their set this Saturday. Not only will they bring the beats but as members of the Desert Hearts family they’ll also be bringing legendary amounts of energy, love and unity.
