I’d be lying to myself if I said that I’m never going back to Moonrise Festival. As long as Moonrise keeps dropping sick lineups, that’s kinda how I feel. I have seen negative posts regarding Moonrise in some threads on different socials; but after last year, I’d say Moonrise is a festival worth experiencing at least once. I was not familiar with the festival until some friends brought it to my attention last year. I’m sure glad we made the trip!

This year Pimlico Race Course will be bringing back some familiar faces. A few returning artists from last year include: Rezz, Snails, Ookay, Elephante, Excision, and Zeds Dead! Last year Kaskade was one of the acts that got rained out so it’s good to see him returning to Moonrise. Still looking to hear “Summer Nights” on a summer night at Moonrise. Cough cough Kaskade.
Moonrise is also welcoming some newcomers this year and I like what they’re bringing. I’m pumped to see Diplo on the lineup after seeing him perform at Park City Live during Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The few times I’ve seen Diplo have always been fun and full of bass. Some others I was excited to see on the lineup include: Cashmere Cat, Golf Clap, Galantis, Ganja White Night, Sullivan King, Manic Focus, and NGHTMRE. I could go on for days but that’s just a few artist I’m glad to see added to the lineup! I’m also interested in seeing (for the first time): Rezz, GG Magree, Phantogram, Mija, and Justin Jay.
Moonrise is one of the more stacked lineups you will see all year. It’s for sure doable since it’s a two day festival. If you have found yourself questioning multiple times “Should I go to Moonrise?” The answer is probably yes! I had a blast last year, Moonrise is well worth the trip!
