When you walk into an event and Justin Martin is the opening act, you know it is going to be a good time. That is exactly what we experienced upon entering AMFAMFAMF’s event, Breakfast Club. Hosted by Gary Richards, aka Destructo, the early morning event was definitely worth the lack of sleep. Starting at 5 am, the event served as the after after party Saturday morning during Miami Music Week. Luckily there was plenty of delicious food, mimosas, and house beats to keep us going.
The secret line up consisted of Justin Martin, Soul Clap, DJ Tennis, Wax Motif, Amtrac and of course Destructo. A mixture of deep, tech, bass, and future house could be heard throughout the morning. At any given time there could be one artist on the decks or multiple going back to back. Destructo also jumped on at various times throughout.
The event took place at 1-800-Lucky a trendy Asian marketplace in the Wynwood Arts District. In the dark, the space was lit up with a giant AMF neon sign and string lights. As the sun rose, the outside deck surrounded by tropical trees made for the perfect dance floor.
The best part of events like this? The people of course! All My Friends came out in full force to have a good time.
