Group Therapy Is All We Need

This past weekend Above & Beyond graced Chicago with their Common Ground tour, and it was nothing short of amazing. As expected, they played a large majority of their hits from the new album like Always, Tightrope, Alright Now, and My Own Hymn.  However, they strayed a bit from their usual progressive trance sets. The duo got a little deep and dark with the crowd at Navy Pier and dropped a lot of hard electro and house music, including the new release by Virtual Self, Particle Arts. Of course, they played well-known classics Sun & Moon, Sticky Fingers, and We’re All We Need.

I really enjoyed that they decided to have this show at Navy Pier. There aren’t many large venues in the city where you can get a large stage production to really encompass you, but Above & Beyond really pulled out all the stops for this show. I mean come on, look at those lasers.

All in all, the Anjunabeats Chicago Takeover was a wild success. Above & Beyond seems to agree with me, too….
