From the Desert to the City, Desert Hearts presents the City Hearts Festival

Desert Hearts Family, Welcome!

If you weren’t able to attend the three- day festival, Desert Hearts, this past Spring, here is your chance to get a taste at the first ever, City Hearts Festival! This may only be a one-day music festival, but the vibes of Desert Hearts will be no less than groovy.

Desert Hearts creators, Mikey Lion, Porkchop, Marbs and Lee Reynolds will be performing at City Hearts on November 12th. Our fingers are crossed that the fifth creator of Desert Hearts, Deep Jesus, will make a surprise appearance but as of now, he is not on the lineup.

A Little Background

Each performer brings something special to the table. Mikey Lion, one of the fastest growing West coast house DJs, will be taking the stage at City Hearts Festival. The deep house, techno, tribal sounds he creates will take you on a journey like no other. Mikey has become a Resident DJ at Lovelife, San Diego’s premier House & Techno party, and Club Bang Bang (San Diego), as well as performed at festivals like Lightning in a Bottle and Burning Man. These incredible, life-changing festivals have inspired his best friends and younger brother to create their very own festival that is based on House, Techno, and Love. And in 2012, Desert Hearts was born.

David Leon, better known as Porkchop, is known as the wildcard of Desert Hearts. He takes his partying very seriously, which we can’t disagree with after hearing his deep, unique, techno sets. San Diego native and influenced by older brother Mikey Lion, he has performed in Tulum, Burning Man and of course, Desert Hearts. We can’t wait to hear his underground music at City Hearts!

San Diego resident, Marbs, is known for his dark, crazy house, techno, psychedelic vibes. With influences of artists like Pink Floyd and Tool, he brings something from another level to the Desert Hearts crew. He’s performed at venues in San Diego and Los Angeles, as well as Burning Man. His music has a mystical and fantasy sound to it, that will take you on an adventure you never thought you were capable of going on.

Lee Reynolds, also known as “Papa”a of the Desert Hearts crew, was spinning records back in 1988. He found himself in an electronic psychedelic state and eventually was introduced to a group of young, San Diego men, which are now the Desert Hearts crew! His funky, weird vibe will have you feeling more groovy than ever at City Hearts.
