Pirates and JAUZ in Ibiza

Co-written by Stephanie Rosa

Travelers worldwide flock to Ibiza during the summer each year for the turquoise waters, pirate-like sailboat filled bays, eclectic shopping, and rest assured a night out at one of their many famous clubs. The island of Ibiza’s popularity dates back many centuries to when pirates frequented the island for supplies, and undoubtedly a relaxing break from their long stints at sea. The pirates in us ventured to soak it all up, and we were thrilled to catch JAUZ at the Cream party taking place at Amnesia Club on Thursday, July 20.

The day before the party we decided it would be most pirate-like to take a boat to the neighboring island Formentera to enjoy the pristine beaches and waters which are slightly less crowded. Immersing ourselves in these shark infested waters prepared us for the biggest shark party of all when we finally arrived at Amnesia, the JAUZ of Ibiza.

Sam Vogel, the man behind JAUZ, set the club on fire with his usual jaw dropping performance, throwing down a mix of rap, hip hop, throwbacks and original productions. This 23-year old shark made it known that he would be taking over Ibiza while he simultaneously moves through Europe this summer to hit major festivals such as the inaugural Lollapalooza Paris, Weekend Festival Baltic in Estonia, and Creamfields in the UK.

Few pirates would agree to returning to a shark tank after escaping alive, but these ones would be more than willing. We couldn’t recommend more to set your sails and capture the wind in the direction of Europe to catch one of JAUZ’s Euro tour shows or to head to Ibiza when this shark heads back on August 24th to Ushuaia.

Be sure to keep up with JAUZ on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see what city he’s attacking next.
