Rival Entertainment is teaming up with Terrapin Brewing Co. to bring back a smaller local festival to the Atlanta area. Candler Park Music and Food Festival is returning June 2nd and June 3rd to bring family fun to the neighborhood park. The event brings food, music, a 5k, and family fun together minus the chaos of some festivals. I encourage 5k involvement especially to benefit good causes. This one in particular, Atlanta ContactPoint represents a good cause.
Previous festival lineups have included acts such as: Galactic, The Revivalists, Leftover Salmon, and Trombone Shorty. The lineup is aimed at jam fans, funk fans, and alliteration addicts as the ticket includes: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Railroad Earth, The Motet, Matisyahu, Lake Street Dive, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Marcus King Band, Ripe, Chelsea Shag, & Webster.
An ample amount of food trucks will be available so be ready to eat. The tickets are extremely affordable even for a broke college.. almost anyone actually. Purchased tickets are good for both days. Pre festival general admission is $25 while VIP (21+ only) is $80; children under 12 are admitted free with a purchased adult ticket. If you’re looking to have a couple chill days at the park, consider Candler Park Music and Food Festival.
