Alright my indie kids, I have a fest for you. Boston Calling Music Festival takes place in, well, Boston, and is going on May 26-28 at the Harvard Athletic Complex. With artists like Sylvan Esso, Wolf Parade, Oh Wonder, The Hotelier, The 1975 (my whole heart), the Skinny Love artists themselves: Bon Iver, and yes of course even The XX, this lineup is one even Tumblr itself couldn’t dream of. Other incredible music acts include Tool, Weezer, Mumford & Sons, Chance the Rapper, and Cage the Elephant. There will even be a comedy experience hosted by Hannibal Buress!
As hard as it is for me to narrow it down to just a few, three acts that I’m way too excited to see are Chance the Rapper, Cage the Elephant, and The 1975. Chance and Cage are two acts that I’ve been dying to see for years, and it’s going to be unreal to finally experience their sets. The 1975 are one of my favorites; no matter how many times I see them live, I will never get sick of the beautiful art that is their set. Plus, it will be a good hype up to see them play Madison Square Garden for the first time the week after.
This will be my first festival in Boston, so I’m super stoked to see what these Massachusetts folks have to offer. Get your tickets now to experience it all with me!
