Andrew “Android” Jones has been a long time collaborator of Dave Tipper, and has contributed both visual presentations and traditional medium compositions to the Tipper live show in recent years. However, he’s never done things quite like Tipper and Friends the Nocturnal Edition. Jones will be premiering his Samskara 360 Dome, for the first time on Suwannee grounds. The dome, which uses projection technology to showcase many of Jones’ classic pieces, is a wonder in and of itself, but combined with the rest of the installations the Tipper and Friends team has in store, the Field of Dreams has never looked more enlightening.
Jones likes to keep busy, and is also the Creative Director and producer of a piece of technology known as the Microdose VR, a virtual reality headset program that brings the user into a realm of art, music, dance, and dare I say, fractals. Tipper and Friends is generously allowing field testing of art few of these headsets, an exclusive first for the system, and for the Park. Feast your eyes on the demonstration below.
