Down on the sunny Waterfront Park in San Diego, major plans are in works to deliver yet another unforgettable CRSSD experience. With the epic combination of 3 stages, a trail of food vendors, breathtaking, cotton candy-colored clouds, amazing vibes shared between new and old friends, an explosive lineup, and YOU, there is not a single chance that this year’s CRSSD Festival Spring is one you want to miss out on.
As each year’s lineup seems to go toe-to-toe with the last, the itinerary for 2017 is quite stacked and is hands down my favorite Spring fling to date (with the exception of Day 1 last year when my boys, Odesza, played… HA!). Giddy up for some deep, dirty house (Duke Dumont, Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, etc.), Electronica/Trip-Hop (Flume, Snakehips, Mija, Bob Moses, etc.), Synthpop (Alunageorge), AND SO MANY MORE!

With the incredibly exciting and anxiety-ridden ramp-up to CRSSD, there are just a few things to keep in mind that make the experience different from other events. One major crowd restriction at CRSSD events is the 21+ rule, which tends to create more room for maturity and camaraderie. There is also a strictly enforced dress code which prohibits fluffy cuffs, a plethora of kandi bead bracelets, and anything seemingly “rave-like” or distasteful.
As for the general crowd presence, there is no squad representation quite like Ship Fam (Holy Ship! electronic music party-themed cruise goers.) These free-spirited, party-loving, balls of pure, vibey nature show up, show out, spread tons of love, and take other music lovers in with open arms. They are the seeds in a crowd that each festie wishes to come across and exchange energy with!
Hand-in-hand, the crowd, the astonishing harbor views, and the untouchable tunes make it all too easy to say yes and dive into this festival utopia. Grab your shoes, shades, open minds and hearts, and let’s get weird at CRSSD Festival this March 4th-5th at Waterfront Park, San Diego!
