There is something uniquely grounding about heading into the desert as winter loosens its grip. This February, Gem & Jam returns for its seventeenth edition, reclaiming its place as one of the most eclectic and soul stirring celebrations in the festival world. After taking a year off in 2025 to regroup, the renown Tucson gathering is set to fill the Sonoran Desert with music, visionary art, gem culture, and community from February 6 through 8 2026 at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona. Additional information and tickets can be found here. Join me for my long overdue Gem & Jam debut!

Gem & Jam has always been more than a festival and is one which garners respect and the highest of praise from festival goers (a track record of seventeen years proves they are indeed, a pillar within the music community). From what I’m told, each year this weekend is a creative convergence where sound and artistry meld into one unforgettable weekend. Born alongside the legendary Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase, the festival grew into an immersive experience that celebrates handcrafted art, live music, and crystal culture from around the world. Grab your crystal loving friends and come warm up in the sun this February!
A Complete Reset and Return
After organizers made the intentional decision to postpone the 2025 edition, fans were left longing for the unique energy only Gem & Jam can deliver. Rather than rushing a version that did not feel aligned, the festival chose to pause and return in 2026 with renewed intention. Now partnered with Relentless Beats, Gem and Jam is stepping into its next chapter with elevated production, expanded programming, and a refreshed vision that honors its roots while embracing its future.

The Lineup
Gem & Jam 2026 is stacked with a lineup as eclectic as it is electrifying: folk‑rooted bands, funky melody makers, experimental bass wizards, and genre‑bending electronic innovators. Living up to its reputation for boundary‑pushing programming, this year’s roster promises nothing short of a full‑spectrum musical experience.

CloZee brings her cinematic bass soundscapes infused with global rhythms and organic textures, delivering emotionally resonant performances that feel tailor made for desert sunsets and late night wanderings. She is hands down my favorite producer and is renown for delivering dynamic sets that transport you to different corners of the globe — no two sets are alike and she is not an artist to miss!
Tycho offers lush, ambient compositions that feel like wide open skies translated into sound. His sets glow with warmth, atmosphere, and subtle movement, providing a perfect soundtrack for reflective moments beneath the desert stars. He is best paired with desert sunsets and your favorite flow toy.
Heavy hitters G Jones B2B EPROM are a pair of two innovators of experimental bass that promises deep low end, complex sound design, and forward thinking sonic exploration. Be prepared to leave earth’s orbit as these two producers come together and crank it up to 11.
TroyBoi’s sets blur the lines between house, trap, hip hop, and global rhythms, creating immersive soundscapes that command attention. Featuring filthy drops and epic bass peaks, his music forces even the most timid crowd members to move like primal animals and no one is safe– you’ve been warned. If you see me at a TroyBoi set, mind your business 😉
Motifv stands out for his deep commitment to groove and rhythm, crafting sets that feel both energized and effortless. His sound blends gospel, soul, experimental bass, and futuristic synths, drawing listeners into a continuous flow of momentum. He crafts sounds using sample-based production, which he no doubt picked up from his legendary brother Derek Vincent Smith, known as Pretty Lights. Motifv’s music is all about connection — each beat feels like a moment to move, release, and sync up with the music and the crowd.
Sunsquabi brings an unmistakable blend of live instrumentation and electronic fluidity, fusing improvisational jam energy with heavy grooves and rich soundscapes. Their performances are stupid fun move from expansive textures into funky, danceable drops and back again. They are the perfect blend of electronica meets funk and soul.
Artifaks is the musical project of Wisconsin‑born Garrett Meyer, blurring the lines between electronic, hip‑hop, and soul to craft a truly unique catalog. Rooted in the indie‑electronic community, his music seamlessly moves from modern EDM to classic funk grooves and everything in between, delivering performances that are as dynamic and eclectic as they are immersive.
Additional standout acts include funky Boombox x The Polish Ambassador, Yheti B2B lespecial as LIMINOID, Desert Dwellers, Flamingosis, Ivy Lab, Saxsquatch, Tauk, Mr Bill and more, creating a weekend that feels expansive, immersive, and intentionally curated. Want to learn more about these artists? I made you a playlist of my favorite tracks from these artists.
What Makes Gem and Jam Different
Where many festivals exist as temporary bubbles, Gem and Jam has always fused craftsmanship with community. Music is but one activity: during your weekend; you can wander through gemstone galleries, discover handcrafted jewelry, or stumble into visionary art spaces between acts. Embrace your side quests: this is a festival that invites exploration as much as celebration.

Camping and Lodging
Gem and Jam offers on site camping that allows attendees to fully settle into the rhythm of the weekend. From walk in camping to glamping and RV options, the desert becomes home for three days of shared moments, sunrise coffees, late night laughter, and dancing under a desert sky. The Pima County Fairgrounds provide an expansive canvas for art, music, and movement, with cool mornings, warm afternoons, and star filled nights that perfectly complement the festival’s flow. Follow this link for a full menu of accommodation options.
Sustainability and Conscious Celebration
Sustainability is woven into the heart of Gem and Jam. Through partnerships such as the Eco Band program, the festival supports desert tree planting and global rainforest preservation. Attendees are invited to actively participate in ecological efforts that extend far beyond the weekend, reinforcing the festival’s mission to nurture both creativity and the planet.
Why You Should Be There
Gem and Jam 2026 is not just something you attend. It is something you step into and fully embrace. It is a weekend of connection, expression, and immersion where music meets desert magic and late nights glow with an abundance of endless frivolous, bass faces and newfound friendships. With its rare blend of artistry, community, and sonic exploration, this is one of the most unique festival experiences in the Southwest. I do hope to see you there for my first Gem & Jam!
