Gem and Jam Festival is returning this February 4th-6th, 2022 for its 14th annual celebration of music, art, and life. Happening parallel in time to the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase, the festival is a dream for both gem lovers and festival goers of a wide variety.
A powerhouse of a lineup for G & J 2021 has been announced, including STS9, Liquid Stranger, Shpongle, Lotus, Claude Vondstroke, Lotus, Charlesthefirst, and over 30 more amazing acts. Yet again, Gem & Jams set us up with the perfect plethora of styles in the Electronica and Jam genres.
The Desert is Calling
Pima County Fairgrounds has been home to the last few runs of the festival. Located in Tuscon AZ, expect warm days and cool nights, reaching a low 45°F. Though warmer than most places this time of the year, this is still the place to bust out all of your warm-weather festival favorites.
The production elements of this festival get better each year, as the event grows in capacity and potential. 2020 brought breath-taking stage designs, utilizing real crystals, laser-cut detailing, and the best of the best in regards to the visuals/ lighting. We can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store!
Over 55,000 people travel to Arizona from all around the world during the 3 week Gem and Mineral Show, which inspired the creators of the Gem and Jam to provide a unique experience- celebrating the art and energy of the Gem and Mineral community along with entertainment and visual arts.
Vendors from all over the globe are stationed around Tuscon, showcasing their best and shiniest gems. Though outside of the festival grounds, this is worth the shuttle ride, or pre/ post-festival adventure. The Tuscon Gem and Mineral Show is an internationally renowned event, and my mind is absolutely blown by the beauty showcased there each time I visit. Check it out!
