Premier festival Lightning In A Bottle is back with its first lineup announcement of 2020. This first wave of artists is enough to make any electronic fan want to find their way to Buena Vista Lake, where the festival will be hosting its second installment in the new venue. The festival, produced by DoLab, is set to take place this Memorial Day weekend, May 20-25. You can check out the first phase of artists by stage below!

LIGHTNING STAGE

The Lightning Stage will be host to many of the biggest household names in electronic music. Coming off a new album release last month with ‘BUBBA’, the Canadian native KAYTRANADA brings a refreshing refined display of urban percussion along with him to the main stage of LiB. I was extremely thrilled to see Emancipator, as well as my personal favorite one man band Big Wild atop of the bill. Of course we can never forget our favorite saxist and funk master GRiZ, who never fails to blow a crowd away with his unique blend of horns and bass music.

THUNDER STAGE

You thought right. Thunder = bass. LiB didn’t hold back with this waterfront stage lineup either. Such a multitude and wonderful mixture of difference acts and the artists making the most noise and turning heads at the moment (I’m looking at you Mersiv). Towards the end of last year, the NOISIA trio had announced that this year would be their final festival tour run before disbanding, so if you plan on attending LiB this year, make sure to catch a farewell set. With their groundbreaking contributions to DnB and bass music overall, there’s no way anyone should miss this set. Thunder Stage will also be blessed with a legend turntablist in DJ Shadow. Overall, this stage WILL be going off all weekend and there will be some legendary performances I highly encourage you not to miss.

WOOGIE STAGE

Where to go when you don’t want the party to stop! Woogie away to the sounds of all of our favorites in Techno, Deep House, and Progressive. Queen Nina Kraviz, along with Desert Heart artists RYBO b2b Lubeski, and Dirtybird power player Justin Martin are among the names that stood out to me the most. Woogie will without a doubt not only be the longest, but the best dance party all weekend long.

Lightning In A Bottle is definitely one of North America’s premier festivals and with this phase one lineup alone, it’s shaping up to be on of the best festivals of the year. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for Phase 2. Lightning In A Bottle will take place this May 20-25. Attendees have the option for early admission on Thursday and even earlier admission and arrive on Wednesday.
