For any experienced festival-goer, there are certain expectations that hold true 99% of the time. When traveling between the festival and the hotel, we can always count on heavy traffic, long lines, and a sea of stares from the “regular people” just trying to go about their day. Sure, a camping festival certainly eliminates a lot of these hurdles, but what if there was an even better way?
In 2018, an optimistic and ambitious group of EDM fans set out to create the ultimate festival experience around EDC Orlando. The idea was to host an organized takeover of an entire resort and ensure that the only people staying there would be the same people who are attending the festival. They called it Home Bass and, for some, that might’ve been more than enough to improve the overall experience, but they didn’t stop there.
Home Bass went to the extreme to make sure that their experience would be unmatched. They organized pre-game pool parties, offered shuttles to EDC Orlando, invited industry vendors to sell their products, and booked top-tier DJs to play after-shows at the resort all night long.
It was truly an unforgettable experience and guess what…IT’S BACK!
That’s right, Home Bass 2019 will return to the Grand Orlando Resort from November 7 through November 10 to align with EDC Orlando. Back in June, Home Bass briefly changed locations to host a stand-alone event at the Avanti Palms resort, but will be returning to its original location to try and out-do the high standards that they set last year. Due to high demand, the festival has even extended its room offerings to include options at the nearby Wingate by Wyndham.
Looking at the schedule of events, it appears as though Home Bass has a good chance of raising the bar again.
