After taking a hiatus in 2019, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is back for 2020 under new ownership by Insomniac Events. Okeechobee will be taking place on March 5 – 8 at their home location at Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Florida. Now that there are solid dates and a location in place for 2020, the only thing left to be announced was the lineup. And, it’s looking like 2020 is going to be a great time at Sunshine Grove.
Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is known for its diverse lineup and inclusion of multiple genres and 2020 will be no different. Next year’s lineup includes acts across all across the spectrum. From Vampire Weekend to Bassnectar, Glass Animals, Mumford & Sons, Kaskade, Bob Moses and more, there is something for everyone. Insomniac will also be presenting a Bassrush preparty including Caspa, Ivy Lab, Yheti, and more.
More Than Just Music!
On top of four days packed with epic acts, Okeechobee also offers a wide variety of workshops, stages and art installations for festival-goers to enjoy. Okeechobeeings can enjoy yoga every morning or lay on the beach by Lake Okeechobee to soak up some sun before the fun at night begins.
With new ownership, we’re excited to see what changes are in store. In past years, Okeechobee had a whopping seven stages throughout the festival. This gives festival-goers an endless opportunity to find new sounds and acts while wandering around. In addition to these stages, we’re excited to see what new immersive art installations and workshops the festival will have to offer. A popular spot at past Okeechobee’s was the Jive Joint, where festival-goers can go to experience improv workshops, live music, character performances and more. Basically, if you find yourself bored at Okeechobee, you’re doing it wrong! This is the perfect festival to find a new activity or new music to get lost in.
Many fans were disappointed when the news broke last year that the beloved Florida music festival wouldn’t be happening but after much talk and speculation, Insomniac came in to help revive the popular festival. With a lineup of festivals including EDC’s around the world, Electric Forest and many more, we know that Okeechobeeings are in for a great weekend in 2020.
This is only phase one of the lineup, so expect more acts to be added in the future! General sale tickets go up for sale this Friday, October 18th. Find ticket options here.
