After a year-long hiatus, Gem & Jam Festival is set to return this January 31st – February 2nd, 2020 to its beautiful home of Tuscon, Arizona. Phew, crisis averted! We’re grateful that this wasn’t yet another festival lost forever in the US circuit.
Rejoice, The Lineup is Here!
A powerhouse of a phase one lineup for G & J 2020 has been announced, including Tipper, The Floozies, Twiddle, Billy Strings, Desert Hearts Takeover, TH3, Manic Focus, Dirtwire, Desert Dwellers, Thriftworks, Bluetech, Buku, Christian Martin, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Marvel Years, and Over 30 More. Yet again, Gem & Jams sets us up with the perfect plethora of styles in the Electronica and Jam genres.
Word on the street is that there are to be TWO Tipper sets, one ambient and the other uptempo– and this is only phase one! We can’t wait to see what the next iteration unfolds…
Whether you are a returning attendee or a first-timer scoping out the Arizona scene from afar, this gathering is one you won’t want to miss. The intimate festival experience boasts the lineup potential of many larger-scale parallels. This, enhanced with the high level of production and artistry that goes into the visuals, performance art, and art installations, makes for an experience that is nothing short of unforgettable. Located on 640 acres and just 20 miles south of downtown Tucson, Pima County Fairgrounds will be booming with love this February. Pack your warmest and funkiest festival wear- the Desert can get quite cold at night. Day and night-time temperatures average 70°F / 45°F for this area. Camping options relate to a variety of preferences, including onsite RV camping with hookups, car camping, and walk-in camping.
Dancing under the winter, desert sun sounds like an absolute dream! The free-spirited atmosphere and family-like crowd will make for interactions that are extraordinary in nature. Be ready to experience jaw-dropping artist galleries, daytime workshops, live painting, and MORE!
