Grab your party pals, start planning your outfits and get ready to bust out your best moves all day long at Electric Island this Saturday, June 22nd.

Blessing the Main stage, Seth Troxler: world renowned techno and house producer, DJ Harvey: best known for his all-night marathon sets and hedonistic disco, Blond:ish: music enthusiast and founder of ‘Bye-Bye Plastic’, Tom Trago: a leader of the Dutch electronic music scene and support from Toronto’s very own Gera and Diana McNally.

Drop by the Moog Audio Stage for a change of scenery and to check out DJ collective Honey Soundsystem: the voice of San Francisco’s gay underground scene, Tom Stephan: Defected Records artist and American house music producer, Goddollars: co-founder of the infamous party brand ‘A Club Called Rhonda’, Pony performer and vocalist from Montreal, and support from Karim Olen Ash and Aeryn Pfaff.

This weekend’s installment of Electric Island unfortunately will not be held on the Toronto Island due to heavy rainfall and flooding in the previous weeks. Don’t worry, the alternate location at Woodbine Park (1695 Queen Street East) is nothing to complain about.

2 years ago, EI relocated to Woodbine Park for the Season Opener. At first, I was dismayed by the new and unfamiliar location but I was pleasantly surprised and still think of that day as one of my favourite Electric Islands yet!

Cons: Electric Island is temporarily more like Electric Park…

You don’t get to take the Tiki Taxi or snap a rad pic of the Toronto skyline from the lake.

Pros: Getting to and from the venue is arguably more convenient and less expensive than taking ferries or water taxies to and from the Toronto island.

The venue still provides those chill island vibes you crave!

Don’t forget to mark your calendar and save the dates for the remainder of Electric Island’s seventh season: Saturday, June 22nd, Saturday, August 10th, and two-day festival season finale Saturday August 31 to Sunday, September 1st. Limited single early bird passes are now on sale! Further lineup announcements coming soon, stay tuned!
