There’s just 4 day left until the Escapade Music Festival in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. Escapade became a staple festival in Canada in the last decade, and is one of the few bigger EDM festivals in Canada. This year it will be taking place over the June 22–23 weekend at Lansdowne Park in South Ottawa. Beachclub, which organizes this festival, is hosting day long events throughout the summer in different other locations.  They are known for offering great service and ambiance. This year for Escapade they are transforming the venue by placing a stage in a historical building and a second stage on the field of the new TD Place Football stadium.

This event will have stacked line up for 2019, featuring a mix of well-known artists with up and coming talent representing different genres, spread across 3 stages. The fest lineup typically features artists from a variety of EDM genres and backgrounds. From mainstream, to bass music (Dubstep/Trap/Bass) to House/Deep House, Techno and to Trance, this festival caters to a wide audience. Quite a few big names on the bill, the likes of DJ Snake, Tiësto, Zeds Dead, Adventure Club, Keys n Krates, and more.

On both days the main stage will have the same main stream music, but Saturday the Aberdeen side stage will mostly focus on house music, aptly named “The House Party”, and on Sunday instead it will be trance music, called “Ferry Corsten presents Unity”. The set times have just recently been made available as well on the festival’s home page.

Matrin Garrix had to cancel his appearance due to an ankle injury. Tiësto will be replacing him on the lineup, set to close out as the Sunday night Headliner.

Two Artists To Check Out:

Tiësto

I am excited to find out that Tiësto will be spinning now, because it was always a great experience to watch him. He is known for being able to read the crowd and cater to the mood of the moment. Among his work, he has managed to garner a great collection of hits, with a long catalogue of releases that he has managed to build himself and in collaborations over his lengthy career. Attendees will also no doubt be excited to listen to his recent Big room release of ‘Can You Feel It‘ , which he did with John Christian, a real festival banger. Kudos to Escapade’s team, we can only imagine how hard it must have been to find a suitable replacement, let alone on such a short notice.

KSHMR

I saw KSHMR the first time for his India debut at Sunburn festival in Goa, and I am always pleased to see him live at other festivals. KSHMR is a hugely talented producer specializing in Big Room House and Electro House. Comfortable in radically different music worlds, KSHMR has a keen understanding of the varying sides of the industry. He often draws on his Indian roots by allowing it to inspire his work. He has been playing his music at huge EDM festivals, such as Coachella and Tomorrowland in front of many adoring fans. His latest release with Belgian DJ Yves V and American band Krewella titled “No Regrets” is sure to please. You definitely want to catch this set on Saturday.
