Disco Donnie Presents has released the full lineup for Freaky Deaky Texas, as well as the addition of a fourth stage. This Halloween weekend, October 26th and 27th, Freaky Deaky will take over Houston, Texas by storm. The second year of the festival in Texas will see expansion with the addition of a new stage, more variety of genres, and a larger venue. This year’s festival will include more genres ranging from deep house to electronic rock, hardstyle, trance, and drum & bass in addition to the techno, house, dubstep, trap, and bass music Disco Donnie Presents fans have come to expect.

New additions are on the lineup poster in yellow and include Amtrac, Animato, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Coone, Da Tweekaz, Decadon, Delta Heavy, Deorro, Desert Dwellers, Dimibo, Frontliner b2b Lny Tnz, Geo, John Askew, Junkie Kid, Lady Faith, Lick, Lil Texas, Lost Chameleon, Mason Maynard, Notaker, NTXC, Planet of the Drums (AK1200, Dara, Dieselboy & Messinian), Simon Patterson, TVBOO, Tweekacore, and Will Atkinson.

The festival will take place at the Sam Houston Raceway, a 500 acre race track on the outskirts of Houston, Texas. This was the same venue where Something Wonderful and Something Wicked festivals used to take place.

New Additions to the Lineup

Most of the new additions have surprisingly been dnb, hardstyle and psytrance DJs! It’s awesome that Disco Donnie is trying to incorporate more of some of the smaller genres into their festivals.

Will Atkinson, John Askew and Simon Patterson

These three are all pystrance masters. Will Atkinson hails from Glasgow, Scotland and makes both psytrance and progressive trance, releasing tracks on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance. John Askew also comes from across the pond, based out of the UK. Making a very similar sound to Will Atkinson, he produces fast paced progressive trance and psytrance. Lastly, Simon Patterson is a legend in psytrance. He has his own radio show and brand called “Open Up” which highlights some of the current best in underground trance and psytrance.

Delta Heavy and Planet of the Drums

Delta Heavy is a duo based originally out of London, and now in LA. They have been producing bass music since the UKF Dubstep and DnB days. They originally produced only drum and bass but now make a mix of DnB and bass and have released tracks on Monstercat and Deadbeats. Planet of the Drums is a collaboration between Dieselboy, AK1200, DJ Dara and Messinian. They have collectively and individually been producing drum and bass since the early 2000’s. Planet of the Drums have done a few sets recently but their set at a festival in 2019 is a rare treat.
