Escapade is one of Canada’s biggest summer festivals – taking place this June in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. Escapade has been a staple festival in Canada for the best couple of years and is one of the few bigger EDM festivals in Canada. This year, Escapade will be taking place over two days – June 22nd and June 23rd at Lansdowne Park in South Ottawa. Escapade is put on each year by Beachclub, a massive EDM venue just outside Montreal. Beachclub hosts day long events all summer long at their unique location on the shores of a lake. Big name artists like Zeds Dead, Mark Knight, Tiesto, Illenium, Kaskade, Zomboy, and many more have headlined this massive outdoor club.
Saturday Lineup
The Saturday headliner is DJ Snake but the real selling point is the amount of smaller name acts on the lineup. Besides DJ Snake, Kayzo, and the blurred out unknown third headliner, there will also be sets from Zeds Dead b2b JAUZ, Sam Feldt, Graves, QUIX, Tynan, Ghastly, Mercer, Chris Lorenzo b2b Jack Beats, Dom Dolla, Billy Kenny and OMNOM. The main stage is a mix of more future sounds, like KSHMR, Sam Feldt and Graves while the second stage is bass all day and the third stage is the house stage.
Sunday Lineup
Martin Garrix is closing out the main stage on Sunday as the headliner, with Zeds Dead headlining the bass stage and Ferry Corsten headlining the trance stage. Also on the main stage will be Tchami b2b Malaa, Loud Luxury and Timmy Trumpet. The bass stage will be packed with the likes of Wooli, 1788-L, Keys N Krates and Adventure Club. And last but not least, the trance stage will be filled with the sounds of Markus Schulz and Aly & Fila.
Two Artists To Check Out
While most everyone has heard of Martin Garrix and DJ Snake, some of the smaller name artists on this lineup might be relatively unknown.
TYNAN
One of the artists on the new wave of experimental bass, TYNAN is a dubstep/bass producer based out of Oklahoma City. He has produced some dark, dirty dubstep beats with the likes of QUIX, RL Grime, Sullivan King and many more. Check out his hour long Diplo & Friends mix below.
Black Caviar
Black Caviar is a house producer based out of New York City. Producing a mix of house beats – from tech house to techno to bass house, Black Caviar is one of the up and coming tech house producers in the scene.
