A brand-new hip hop and rap festival is hitting Montreal this summer, and the line up is impressive to say the least. The festival, MetroMetro, is being billed “the largest urban music festival in Canada,” with headliners including Grammy Award winners Cardi B, Snoop Dogg and Future. The two-stage festival will be held over the weekend of May 18th and 19th, at the Esplanade Sunlife venue at the Olympic Stadium.
MetroMetro is being produced by Olivier Prime, owner of the Pointe-Calumet Beachclub, who is no stranger when it comes to bringing international stars to Montreal over the past few years, including David Guetta, Tiesto, and Migos.
For the first year of MetroMetro, the organizers have released a strong lineup, including other notables such as Tyga, Waka Flocka Flame, Fatman Scoop, Ludacris, Sean Paul and many more.
Being hailed for not only its stacked line up, with more to be announced, MetroMetro is standing out from other Montreal festivals with its relatively affordable pricing. The two day festival tickets are now on sale and can be purchased for $190, CAD. With Montreal being the home to some of the most anticipated summer festivals, MetroMetro is sure to raise the bar.
