The journey continues in 2019 for Northern Germany’s largest festival. After celebrating an epic 17th edition in 2018, Airbeat One returns to Neustadt-Glewe this summer and is taking its visitors on a journey to a distant world full of myths and new cultures.
The three-day festival, held on an old airfield, is known for it’s world-class lineup, jaw dropping stage designs and mind blowing visual productions. Above all, Airbeat One is recognised for its unique destination themed editions each year; transforming the airfield into an entirely different part of the world and bringing its visitors along for the ride. Previous editions have seen Airbeat One ‘travel’ to Italy, China and the USA. The most recent edition was centred around a Great Britain theme, with the main stage resembling Westminster Abbey. Other British landmarks such as Big Ben and Tower Bridge made up the spectacular display; which was recorded as the biggest festival stage in the country!
In 2019, we say farewell to Great Britain and Namaste to India! This year’s theme will take visitors on a journey to India and I am anticipating a spectacular Taj Mahal inspired main stage. Having attended over 100 festivals around the world including the last two editions of Airbeat One, this festival is easily one of my favourite events in the world and I cannot wait to return this summer! The first wave of artists have been announced, featuring everyone’s favourite headliners. Check out the announcement below
The first phase of artists features over 40 local and international artists spread out across four stages; with new artists announced daily. Main stage favourites including Armin van Buuren, The Chainsmokers and Martin Garrix are amongst the impressive bill of artists. Hardstyle favourites Headhunterz, Brennan Heart and Zatox will also return to the official Q-Dance stage. See the full lineup here. With so many impressive names to choose from and glorious stages to visit, I’m expecting to have another jam packed festival schedule. Here are the top artists I’m most excited to see at each stage.
MAIN STAGE: Timmy Trumpet
After a spectacular main stage performance in 2018, Timmy Trumpet returns to Neustadt-Glewe for yet another hour of entertainment. The Australian born DJ is known for this fun-filled sets, combining live jazz elements into his electronic performances. Bringing elements of psytrance and hardstyle to the main stage and combining the fast paced kicks with his ‘party til we die’ attitude has made him a crowd favourite on main stages world wide. Check out his latest track below.
Q-DANCE STAGE: Da Tweekaz
Known for their exceptionally energetic sets and catchy fast paced tracks, Da Tweekaz have rapidly risen to success in the hardstyle world. Having hosted their very own X-Qlusive earlier this year, and scheduled to play on the Tomorrowland main stage, the Norwegian duo are ready to put on a performance of a lifetime. These guys are always the life of the party and this is one performance I definitely will not miss! Check out their latest track below.
TERMINAL STAGE: Lost Frequencies
Belgian DJ and producer Lost Frequencies is returning to Airbeat One in 2019 and bringing his relaxed, tropical and deep house sounds to the Terminal Stage. His unmistakeable sound has brought chill summer vibes to some of the biggest stages in the world and is sure to bring the entire Terminal Stage to life. Check out his latest track below.
SECOND STAGE: Blastoyz
Israeli psytrance DJ and producer Blastoyz has grown to become one of the top artists in the psytrance scene. Since recording music at the age of 9, the musician has broken through the electronic music world and is returning to Airbeat One this summer. Recommended to me by Vini Vici themselves, this artist is definitely at the top of my schedule for the weekend. Check out his latest track below.
With so many incredible artists already announced, and more names still to be added to the lineup, the 18th annual edition of Airbeat One is sure to be nothing short of spectacular. Tickets are still available and currently at phase 3; with three day GA passes on sale for 129.99 euros and VIP tickets for 199.99 euros.
