Ah, Desert Hearts, you seem to always be there to curate a bangin’ dance floor when we need you the most.
The Desert Hearts team is constantly on the move, providing the music for the best parties around the globe. And, while this sequin-clad collective got their start in San Diego, they have taken off and become pivotal party sensations everywhere. Seriously, take a peek at their Upcoming Events and you’ll see that they just go non-stop.
To close out 2018, however, the DH crew returned to their home-base of San Diego to Spin Nightclub for the ever-festive Xmas Hearts. It was an exhilarating event that made everyone jingle with joy, and boogie with holiday spirit. The event was exactly what was needed to break up the holiday stress we so often feel at the end of the year. This is also due to the San Diego Desert Hearts community presenting a more laid-back vibe than that of Los Angeles. The sequins, the house music, and the great attendees are definitely there, but the fashion is a bit more down-played. Again, a welcomed trait at such a busy time of year.
Now, as festival lineups get released and we start solidifying 2019 plans, all I can think about is the upcoming Desert Hearts Festival. This festival is the vibrant culmination of all things Desert Hearts: fashion, love, house, and techno, and is the “Superbowl” of Desert Hearts events. I can’t wait to see what the Kings of the Party have in store for us this year.
