BottleRock and Roll: A Little Flavor

BottleRock Music Festival will be taking place in Napa Valley, California from May 24th to the 26th. Get your first taste of summer with Imagine Dragons, Neil Young, and Mumford & Sons. The festival also showcases some of Northern California’s best food, wine, and brews. Take in the gorgeous of views of the Napa Valley while sitting in one of the wine cabanas sprinkled throughout the festival. 

This year the line up presents a diverse range of genres – from punk to hip hop to rock to electropop to rap to everything in between. The culinary stage will also feature a host of various celebrities and chefs throughout the weekend.

Here is a little bit of all the flavors of music you can enjoy over the weekend:

Electropop: AJR

Formed out of their Chelsea apartment, AJR is formed by brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met. They write, produce, and mix all their music right from their living room. They first began to make waves with their single “Weak”. It now has over 320 million streams on Spotify. Other hit songs from them include “I’m Ready”, “Burn the House Down” and “Sober Up”. 

Punk: Flogging Molly

The band is comprised of, Dave King, Bridget Regan, Dennis Casey, Nathen Maxwell, Bob Schmidt, Mike Alonso, and Matt Hensley. The name comes from a bar, Molly Malone’s, where the band used to play every Monday night in their early years. They have released six studio albums, with the last one, Life is Good, being released in 2017.

Hip-Hop: Big Boi

Starting off his career in the famous hip-hop duo, Outkast, Antwan André Patton Sir Lucious aka Big Boi released his first album as a solo artist, Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, in 2010. He has also dabbled in acting appearing in several television shows and the movie Superfly last year. 

Blues Rock: Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats

Rateliff grew up in Missouri where he joined his family’s Gospel band at age seven. At 18 he moved to Denver to do missionary work. After going through some internal struggle with the Church and music he eventually formed Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats. The group consists of Joseph Pope III (bass), Mark Shusterman (keyboards) and Patrick Meese (drums).[15] Other band members include Luke Mossman (guitar), Wesley Watkins (trumpet), and Andy Wild (saxophone).
