There are a few things in life that are luxuries for us festival fiends. We could be basking in a bass-filled paradise off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Similarly, we can be serenaded by stockpiles of world-class electronic music acts. In addition, we would be all at an all-inclusive resort experiencing this…all weekend long. Of course, you would think that this concept is far too good to be real in the festival circuit. Luckily, this is real, and it’s certainly in full send mode. Did we also mention that Bassnectar is the one curating all the craziness?

For the first time ever, Bassnectar and his crew are hosting the gathering of the century. Deja Voom, a tantalizing tropical treat designed with consciousness in mind, will respectfully invade the Barcelo Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico from February 27th to March 2nd. Welcoming EDM lovers from all walks of life with open arms, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy during Deja—whether you’re a rail-riding maniac or a sand-shuffling house head.

Bassnectar will be dishing out three diabolical sets throughout the weekend, all performed amidst a pristine beach setting bordered by the Caribbean Sea, igniting the vacation vibe even more so. The heat has been brought in terms of supporting artists, featuring favorites in the dubstep, halftime, and tech house scenes among many more. There are tons of tasty options to fill your ears with all weekend long, but a select few artists have been on fire as of late—and are sure to keep feeding the flame until Deja.

Dorfex Bos

Repping the streets of Brooklyn on his sleeve comes a producer by the name of Angelo Tursi, better known by his alias Dorfex Bos. A longtime friend and collaborating partner of Bassnectar, there’s certainly no question as to why this wizard of weirdness was included on the bill. Channeling the underground wholeheartedly, Dorfex Bos’ sets are a bass-driven sonic journey across numerous genres, styles, and portals that move minds and bodies alike. Deja is the first of many major moves in 2019 for Tursi; in addition to playing Bonnaroo and Electric Forest, he’s preparing for an upcoming tour with SoDown and a special performance with Liquid Stranger at The Ogden in Denver on 2/14.

Luzcid

One glance into the world of Houston hero Luzcid will take you on a journey through time and bass; one filled to the brim with glitchy, raw, and energetic yet grounding space-bass. In addition to having completed a staggeringly successful tour with Zomboy, Luzcid recently released a game-changer of an EP entitled Cognition on Wakaan Records—some of which we may probably (or hope to) hear at Deja Voom.

Claude VonStroke

If you’re into house music of any flavor, odds are you are quite familiar with the name Claude VonStroke. Founder and frontman of the infamous DirtyBird Records, Claude is a staple in tech house culture, combining the perfect portions of bounciness and smooth, sexy synths, wielding the infectious sound associated with DirtyBird artists across the world. Aptly set to perform a pool party with friends Ardalan and Christian Martin, Claude VonStroke will surely be making more than a splash at his set.
