It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Let’s welcome the return of 12 Days of GRiZMAS as the funky artist himself introduces several charitable events leading up to GRiZMAS. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, GRiZ may travel the world playing music for thousands of fans but he never forgets where he came from. As a thank you for being a crucial part of building him & his career, GRiZ holds 12 days of charitable events in Downtown Detroit where he gives 100% of the proceeds towards increasing access to music education in the Detroit Public Schools.
So on that note, grab your Santa hats, grab your friends, and head to Detroit to spend some quality time with the funkiest crew of them all, both GRiZ and his team, as they deck the streets of Detroit with Christmas joy.
Kick-Off Party | December 4th
They will be kicking off the first day of GRiZMAS in Downtown Detroit where the GRiZMAS Pop-up shop opens. There will be holiday gifts, GRiZMAS coffee, community projects, a coat and toy donation, and more.
Caroling | December 5th
How many people want to sing “Jingle Bells” with GRiZ himself? Here is the perfect chance to spend the evening singing Christmas carols with GRiZ at Campus Martius Park. After singing your heart out, everyone will be heading to Cadillac Square Tent for late night activities full of fun and drinks.
Serve Our Community Day | December 6th
It’s all about volunteering and giving back to Detroit! Stay tuned for a list of places and events where you can spend Community Day giving back.
Mystery Party | December 7th
We all love secret sets from the funky artist himself. Keep in touch to find out where the secret location will be for a pop-up set of GRiZ djing until 2AM.
Charity Barcade w/ Muzzy Bear | December 8th
A bar, arcade games, and funky music? The fam will be heading to Detroit’s Ready Play One raising money as they take on arcade games. Muzzy Bear will be hosting mini-game tournaments on NBA Jam so be sure to bring your A-game.
Morning Yoga | December 9th
GRiZ will be teaming up with Citizen Yoga Detroit Leads at the Fisher Building in Detroit for some morning yoga. There will be two sessions so RSVP ASAP to get flexible and at peace with the man himself.
GRiZFAM Bowling | December 9th
Hosted at the Garden Bowl Detroit, swing on down to win a chance for you and your friends to bowl against GRiZ and his team. There will be two teams selected to win as well a high score contest.
Local Mic Night | December 10th
Enjoy local performances by poets, musicians, DIME Students, and GRiZ fam at the Detroit Institute of Music Education. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. If you buy GRiZMAS coffee at the door, you automatically receive a ticket to join.
Future Disco GRiZMAS 2018 | December 11th
Bust a move down to BonaVenture where GRiZ will be retro skating his way through the night. Be sure to attend dressed up for a chance to win a prize for best dressed.
Assemble U: GRiZMAS Edition | December 12th
GRiZ will be teaming up with Garret Koehler, the co-founder of Assemble U, to create an open discussion. Topics will range from mental health to open-end questions and thoughts that you may have for GRiZ and Koehler.
The Night Before GRiZMAS: Mad Liberation | December 13th

The Night Before GRiZMAS After Party: GRiZ Special Disco House DJ Set | December 13th
This performance will be a special Disco House DJ Set by Griz at Magic Stick.
