The world’s largest electronic music event has officially kicked off and the biggest and best names in the world are coming together to showcase their talent. This week, the king of trance and founder of the world-renowned radio show A State Of Trance, Armin van Buuren lifted fans to new heights with a special announcement. Twenty lucky fans and media were invited to a one of a kind experience where the man himself revealed the details for the upcoming milestone celebration for A State Of Trance.
In an exclusive 20 minute set, Armin van Buuren revealed the latest theme to commemorate 900 episodes A State Of Trance: ‘Lifting You Higher.’ Taking place in a specially crafted DJ booth, fans were lifted 60 meters above the ground, which overlooked the Dutch capital, as the legend announced the details of the upcoming event. Following the launch of the ASOT900 anthem, which will be released later this month, the special performance continued with the event’s previous anthems as fans continued to party in the sky.
The announcement also revealed the first act that will be sharing the stage for the upcoming special edition. For the first time in seven years, English trio Above & Beyond will return to the ASOT stage for an unforgettable performance.
ASOT900 will take place in Utrecht on February 23, 2019, before heading on a world tour. The event has already been announced to appear in Madrid, Spain, and Kiev, Ukraine, with many more locations still to be announced.
